Greetings to you and your loved ones from all of us at Bethany Land Institute. We wish you a happy and blessed Easter Season. And, we are delighted to announce that our new campus is open!
The awakening of Spring and the Easter season brings new life – and so it is for BLI. On February 27th we officially opened the residential campus and launched the BLI Caretaker Training Program! We welcomed the first cohort of trainees into the Caretaker Formation program: 29 students in total, including 14 seminarians from the Diocese of Kasana Luweero Diocese. This cohort is made up of women and men currently working at BLI and some new students. The Ugandan Board felt that it was important for the staff to hear and experience just what future cohorts will be learning.
We are grateful to you for your prayers, well wishes and financial support – gifts that have made these historic developments possible. We count on your continued support as we respond to the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor in rural Uganda. Please consider marking this milestone with a gift to continue allowing us to grow and thrive.
There are many ways that you can contribute:· Plant a tribute tree in Lazarus Forest· Sponsor a student with a scholarship· Help build St. Francis House – a guest house for visitors You will find more information on how you can contribute, as well as photos from the opening, on our website.
Be assured of our prayers and wishes for a blessed Easter Season. Fr. Emmanuel Katongole~For BLI |
